It is a recoil shot gun make sure that the friction ring is not wore bad and mag tube has a light light coat of oil. I have a 16-gauge Sportsman 48 that had the same problem. The dishing happens when the chamber is rough. Get a 12-gauge brush and wrap some fine steel wool around it and chuck it in a power drill. Run it in the chamber for a minute.
